Family Tree

Spanning four generations of civic contribution and artistic talent, this family tree traces the lineage of John Icke Kettle and the many remarkable descendants who shaped their communities in quiet but lasting ways. From George Sydney Brock—Newtown councillor and builder of one of the suburb’s most iconic terraces—to Oswell Brock, artist and mentor to comic illustrator Monty Wedd, these stories breathe life into the branches of a family that helped shape 19th and early 20th century Sydney.
